California Section B — from Hwy 79 near Warner Springs (Mile 109.5) to Interstate 10 near Cabazon (Mile 209.5)

5. Days 11-18: To Paradise and Near-Hell and Back, plus 3(!) Zeroes – April 4-11
Note: In Sections B and C, I will be coming back to get the 0.4 miles of the Halfmile Unofficial Mountain Fire Detour that I missed, plus the PCT miles from where that detour joins the PCT in the San Jacinto Wilderness, to Whitewater Preserve and, if possible, the additional miles of the PCT that are open from Whitewater Preserve to the Lake Fire Closure at mile 236.5 (Mission Creek).

8. Days 23-25: A Lake, a Snake, an On-Trail Shake, and Up-Up-Up! ([Days 24 and 25] – April 17-18
9. Days 26-29: Detouring around Snow and Frogs, plus a Return of the Monster Winds! – April 19-22
10. Days 30-33: Sweet Water, Guzzler Water, and Another Fire Detour (with Ostriches) [Days 30 and 31] – April 23-24
California Section E — Agua Dulce (Mile 454.5) to Hwy 58, Tehachapi Pass (Mile 566.5)

California Section G — Hwy 178 (Walker Pass, mile 652) to Crabtree Meaadow, mile 767
115 miles – Total elevation gain +23,621 – Total elevation loss -18,106
Note: My 2016 PCT hike started at Mile 0 and ended at Mile 878.75, where I went off-trail at VVR because of snow and dangerous water crossings. I hope to find time finish posting about my hike — before the anniversary date is my goal!
